About us

Hi, my name is Kathy and I am the founder and creator of The Sensory Hive. I live in Newcastle, NSW (Awabakal Land) with my husband and two boys. We love the coastline and relaxed vibe here.

The Sensory Hive started as a way to share my passion for sensory and educational toys, eco friendly products and aged care products to help people of all ages learn and grow in a fun and sustainable way.

I have worked as a Naturopath & Nutritionist for over 10 years as well as run an award winning care package store (see below). Living a clean and healthy lifestyle is important to us and I try to incorporate sustainable practices within the store with packaging and product selection.

We believe that everyone deserves the best opportunities to explore their senses, develop their skills and spark their imagination. That’s why we carefully select and test each product before offering it to you.
